Step 1: Measure the Window
Using a tape measure, measure the dimensions of your window frame. Make sure to measure both the width and height accurately.
Step 2: Cut the Screen
Using scissors, cut the window screen material to the size of your window frame, leaving a few inches of excess on each side.
Step 3: Remove the Window Frame
Using a screwdriver, remove the screws or clips holding the window frame in place. Carefully remove the frame from the window.
Step 4: Install the Screen
Place the cut screen material over the window opening, ensuring it covers the entire area. Use the spline roller to press the screen into the groove of the window frame.
Step 5: Trim the Excess Screen
Using a utility knife, trim the excess screen material from the edges of the window frame, following its shape.
Step 6: Reinstall the Window Frame
Carefully place the window frame back into the window opening. Secure it by reattaching the screws or clips.
Step 7: Test the Window Screen
Gently push on the screen to ensure it is securely in place. Make any necessary adjustments if needed.
Step 8: Clean Up
Remove any excess screen material and clean the window frame using a damp cloth or window cleaner.
